We all know that person who doesn’t need to wait for Christmas to tuck into chocolate oranges – and now a hotel has created a stay that may be the stuff of their dreams.
That’s because the Clementine Townhouse Hotel in York has just opened its new Chocolate Orange room, with a whole host of delicious treats celebrating the iconic confectionery.
We’re talking chocolate orange-themed gifts from the moment you arrive, and cocktails at the bar ranging from a Chocolate Orange Daiquiri to After Eight Mojitos which you can also order direct to your room.
Oh, and speaking of your room, you can expect some seriously swanky features including a huge four poster bed, a jacuzzi bathtub, free toiletries, and other perks such as free Wi-Fi.
The boutique hotel boasts a handy location in York’s city centre meaning it’s a great base if you want to explore the surroundings, not to mention that it’s a fitting spot considering York is home to heaps of the UK’s best chocolate-themed breaks.
It’s not the first time that chocolate orange has been the inspiration for a hotel room. Back in 2020, Club Med’s new resort in France launched a specially-designed Chocolate Orange themed room for Christmas complete with a chocolate orange slice-shaped headboard, chocolate bar-themed desk and even chocolate-scented toilet roll!
But for the Clementine Townhouse Hotel, it’s not just the mouthwatering treat that’s inspired one of its rooms.

The hotel actually has plenty of quirky confectionery-inspired rooms with other four-poster rooms on offer such as the Tooty Frootie, The Matchmaker, The Yorkie, The Fruit Pastille, and suites including the Rowntree and the After Eights.
The 28-bedroom Victorian property opened its doors earlier this summer after undergoing a £1million refurbishment to transform into a luxury boutique hotel.
That includes a swish on-site bar, as well as plenty of hearty breakfast options ranging from a Full English to smashed avocado on toast.
